Welcome Coach Thomas Eaton to the DBCU Men’s Baseball Team!
Daytona Beach Christian University is thrilled to announce Coach Thomas Eaton as the new Director of Operations and Manager for our men’s baseball team! With over 30 years of experience in baseball, Coach Eaton brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for mentoring young men in athletics and faith.

Coach Eaton has coached at high school, college, and professional levels, including roles as a scout for the Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals, manager of the USA Military All-Star Baseball Team, and coach for the Spartan Alley Cats and Anderson Joes (Independent League). As the founder of TEA Athletics Post Grad, he has empowered overlooked student-athletes to excel in academics and athletics, helping many secure college roster spots and even make their MLB debut.

An active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association, Florida Minority Alliance Association, and National Commissioner of the Metropolitan Junior Baseball League, Coach Eaton is committed to fostering leadership and community. Residing in Port Orange, Florida, with his wife Darlene and their dogs, Eddie and Daisy, he enjoys golf, billiards, and travel during the offseason.

Program Overview:
Our baseball program will be designed to foster a culture of excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship. I aim to develop skilled, confident, and passionate players who excel on and off the field.

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive baseball experience that emphasizes:
Technical skill development, Tactical awareness as well as game strategy, physical conditioning and mental toughness and teamwork, communication and leadership.
Program objectives:
Develop a deep understanding of the game, its strategies and techniques, improved individua and team skills through structured practices and game experience. Prepare players for success at the next level whether collegiate, professional or beyond. Cultivate a lifelong passion for the game, commitment to personal growth, development, respect and sportsmanship.

Program Structure:
Experienced coaching staff with expertise in all aspects of the game, comprehensive practice schedule, including skill-specific training and preparation. A competitive game schedule featuring local, regional, and national opponents. Strength and conditioning program to enhance physical performance and reduce injury risk. Academic support and guidance to ensure players meet eligibility requirements and achieve academic success.

Players are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic, discipline, and commitment to this program. Players are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials.
